The alloy has excellent resistance to stress - corrosion cracking, and also used for high temperature burners, duct work, petrochemical heaters and furnaces. Conventional machining techniques used for these iron based Carbon Steel Plates offered by ACE ALLOYS may be used, which does work - harden during machining and has higher strength and “gumminess” not typical of steels.

The addition of the small amount of palladium is to ennoble the corrosion potential of Ti, thus improving the corrosion resistance of titanium in reducing environments.
